Gamecock fans would never forgive me if we did not track down Whit and get him on camera.  Before he reported for Spring Training, were able to catch him at the house he grew up in, in Winston Salem, NC.

Whit hit the game-winning hit in the 2010 championship after having an amazing career at Carolina. He has gone on since, to a have a very special career in professional baseball.  He grinded in the minor leagues for years and finally in 2017 had his first full season in the major leagues. On top of that, he had an absolutely incredible season, breaking out at 28 years old and becoming the starting second baseman for the Kansas City Royals. He is continuing his success in the 2018 season hitting around .300 with nearly 30 stolen bases!

Whit had some amazing details from 2010 to share and some great stuff about what has happened since.  He even got invited to compete in a wild game show in Japan, where he showcased his athleticism and speed.
