Steven Neff was our first interview for the project. We set up at a beautiful spot (where our editor/cameraman Jonathan proposed to his wife) in the horseshoe on campus. Steven played professionally for the Giants for a few years where nagging injuries held him back from the big leagues. Steven’s story is one of the most unique from 2011. He went from our starting pitcher on Saturdays, to an injury, to rehabbing, to relieving games, to picking up a bat, starting in the outfield and cranking out home runs!
After pro ball, Steven moved to Georgia with his wife beautiful wife Scotti and their lovely son, Cannon. Steven and Scotti were USC’s power couple! Baseball and cheerleading stars! They paved the way for three other baseball players to marry cheerleaders. Whit, Roth and Mata all snagged themselves a lady from the squad as well!
